HOURLY REQUIREMENTS FOR VETERINARIANS

18  hours every 1 year

18 hours may be obtained online 

 

HOURLY REQUIREMENTS FOR VETERINARY TECHNICIANS

10 hours every 1 year

10 hours may be obtained online 

 

SPECIFIC REQUIRED COURSES

Veterinarians must complete a minimum of 14 hours in the topics of practice of veterinary medicine to include scientific, laboratory, regulatory, and medical record keeping and are allowed to complete a maximum of 6 hours of continuing education in the topic of practice management.

Veterinary technicians must complete a minimum of 4 hours in the topics of practice of veterinary medicine to include scientific, laboratory, regulatory, and medical record keeping and are allowed to complete a maximum of 4 hours of continuing education in the topic of practice management.
